I have a 500 GB storage and use their Cyber Protect Home Office Product. But like every company and product it has it's downsides. Since deleting the Acronis folder and clearing out all the Acronis registry entries, I no longer suffer from the blue screen.Īcronis is great but some things could be better.Īcronis is great, it is easy to use and has a nice UI layout and design. I also found a registry entry that pointed to a folder that hadn't been deleted by the uninstall. I checked my registry and found all sorts of registry entries pointing to Acronis. After a few days the blue screen & message came back, again a shutdown. A few days after I uninstalled the software, I got a blue screen with generic verbiage about a problem with my system and it was sending info somewhere. I was told my subscription and automatic renewal was cancelled. I uninstalled the software and contacted the provider telling them I no longer wanted the software. Before the next renewal date I went online to cancel but quite frankly it was a pain. I decided NOT to renew but to my surprise I was AUTOMATICALLY renewed. This was not it since there was so much going on in terms of backups and the like. All I was looking for was a way to clone my primary operating system drive.
